Measuring Walkability with Street Connectivity and Physical Activity: A Case Study in Iran

The walkability of urban areas is an important criterion related to the level physical activity and public health citizens. This research aims measure this parameter in Golsar town located Rasht, Iran. Two methods were used research: Street connectivity International Physical Activity Questionnaire (IPAQ). principal variables street measured four districts by Geographic Information System (GIS) rank each one. Then, acquired results compared average walking time respondents questionnaire. comparison explicitly indicated that there a strong positive correlation between measures people’s tendency walk. As well, District 1 had highest value for amongst districts. supports contention outdoor activities people district are undoubtedly under influence connectivity.
